I wrote an essay for Big Table Press for their This Year: 2025 project, which they describe as “building a living time capsule or a conversational archive or a collection of days.” When I signed up earlier this year, the roster of writers was full and I was on the wait list in case someone backed out. On June 19th I was notified that my day would be June 20th. At first I was disappointed because I wouldn’t be home on that day. I’d wanted to write about a “typical” day in my life. But it worked out. I appreciated the assignment to pay close attention in a place I had gone to do just that. And I did manage to incorporate a reference to home. You can read the essay here.

. . . and welcome to my redesigned website

A big shout-out to Lisa Dailey at Silent Sidekick for the redesign of my website. Besides being a talented creative and tech savvy, Lisa’s a good listener and fun to work with. You can check out her portfolio of websites here.
